Mainstreet Restorations and Remodeling, Inc.
Honored With Big50 Award

Remodeling's Big 50 Award Winner - MainStreet Design Build Award Winning Remodeler.

Mainstreet Restorations and Remodeling, Inc. (MainStreet Design Build) has been selected by REMODELING magazine as a winner of the 2005 Big50 Award in the Business Savvy category. The Big50 awards were presented at a gala dinner at the Remodeling Leadership Conference in Washington, DC on May 20, 2005.  Winning companies are featured in the May issue of REMODELING magazine.

Each year, REMODELING magazine inducts 50 companies who have set the standard for professionalism and integrity through smart marketing, exemplary business practices, unique design, and extraordinary impact in their community or the industry at large.

Big50 remodelers run successful, often growing, companies of various sizes that have taken the lead in raising industry standards."We are very honored to receive this distinction," says Steven Ramaekers, MainSteet President. "The award recognizes excellence and leadership, and we are privileged to be named to this select group of remodelers." REMODELING editors, columnists, industry leaders, and the companies themselves make the nominations each year.  Following a lengthy evaluation process -  which includes interviewing people at the nominated companies, and often interviews with their competitors, suppliers, and subcontractors - REMODELING's editors select the 50 remodelers who exemplify the very best of the industry that year, and who have something to offer other remodelers in proven practices.

Winners are selected in these categories: business savvy, fine design, industry impact, market wise, movers & shakers, niches, sales & marketing, and teamwork.  REMODELING magazine, published by Hanley Wood, LLC, is the leading publication in the home improvement industry. Designed to address the specific concerns of residential remodeling pros, the magazine is both a business tool and an industry leader for a market that is projected to reach more than $250 billion this year.

MainStreet Design Build Named NARI 2006 Contractor of the Year

CotY Award Winning MainStreet Design Build.

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) named MainStreet Design Build 2006 Regional Contractor of the Year (CotY) in two categories, "Residential Kitchen over $100,000" and "Residential Addition $100,000 - $250,000" in its annual awards competition.

"We are very honored to receive this distinction," says Steven Ramaekers, President of MainStreet.  "The award recognizes excellence and quality craftsmanship, and we are privileged to have won in two very competitive categories."

Contractors from seven regions around the country vie for CotY Awards on an annual basis, and all regional winners will be eligible for National CotY Awards at NARI's Evening of Excellence on March 18 at the Cathedral Hill Hotel in San Francisco.  Most projects submitted for judging were an improvement or an addition to an existing structure, with the exception of one category, "Residential Exterior Specialty."  Otherwise, new construction projects were not eligible.  In addition, competing projects were completed between July 1, 2004 and November 30, 2005 (a 17-month time period) and were not submitted in prior NARI National contests.  Judging for regional awards took place at the Association's national headquarters in Des Plaines, Illinois, in mid-January.  An impartial panel of judges who are experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant's "before and after" photography and project description.  Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
